BDS MFDS (Glas) Msc Dental Aesthetics (Manchester)

 

Som is the principal dentist at A1 Dental and acquired the practice in 2015. Prior to this, he dedicated over a decade to the practice as an associate.

Som qualified as a dentist in 2002 with distinction. He went on to complete his postgraduate training (MFDS) in Glasgow in 2004. In order to consolidate his training and further his experience, Som spent the next 3 years working in Maxillo-Facial Surgery in acute Trusts in East Kent and Poole respectively.

Som’s true passion is in aesthetic & restorative dentistry. He completed 2 further postgraduate qualifications in this clinical area namely a Certificate in Implants in 2012 and an MSc in Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry in 2015. He continues to strive to learn the most up-to-date treatments and specialises in placing implants, performing Invisalign treatments and offering cosmetic treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers. In addition, Som has introduced digital dentistry to the repertoire of services offered at A1 Dental. He is proud to be a front runner in bringing digital technologies such as Cerec Omnicam and Itero scanner to the local population.

Outside of work, Som spends time with his 2 young daughters and keeps himself fit through running and playing golf.

Lori has been an integral part of the A1 Dental team for an impressive 15 years. She qualified as a dental Nurse in 2008 and has invested time in getting to know the patients at A1 Dental. She prides herself on putting patients at ease and providing comfort to nervous patients. Outside of work, Lori enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with her family.

 

 

 

   

   

   

   

   

 

 

BSc Amy started out in Dentistry as a Dental Nurse in 2000 and upon qualifying went on to study Dental Hygiene & Therapy. In 2006 she graduated from Manchester University and worked initially in a Private Practice for two years in the north. In 2008 Amy relocated back to Kent and started working at A1 teeth in 2009. Amy’s approach to all aspects of Dentistry is a preventative one and she very much enjoys focusing on maintaining good oral hygiene in all patients, both new & existing. She is very fortunate to have been treating some of her patients for almost 10 years! Amy’s work is mainly hygiene based but she also carries out therapy as well and is particularly keen in the area of whitening teeth to give patients a more confident & brighter smile. Dentistry is a forever changing world so she is very passionate about keeping up with all the latest regulations & new products on the market. Amy is soon to commence training in aesthetics and will be able to offer facial treatments such as Botox & fillers. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her dog and family, going to the theatre and reading.

 

BDS Ovidius 2012 Graduation from University Ovidius of Constanta, Romania in 2012, Maria has been practicing dentistry in England since 2017. As a general dental practitioner, Maria provides a full range of treatments in both private and NHS dentistry, from examinations, emergency treatments to restorative work, dentures and teeth whitening. Also, has an interest in teeth straightening using Invisalign Go system. Fluent in Romanian with an understanding of some Italian and Spanish.
